Wind

Airflows have been found to be an effective source to power wind turbines capable of producing electricity.  Preferred locations for wind farms are areas where winds are stronger and more constant, including offshore in large bodies of water and higher altitude sites.  Wind power is renewable and produces no greenhouse gases during its production.  Bird collisions can be a challenge facing wind farms, although improvements in technology and siting are reducing the risks of this occurrence.
